Yag and IPL Treatments
We are one of the best treatment centres in the industry when it comes to course hair. We also offer some of the lowest rates, without sacrificing results.
Laser hair removal can help to save you money, and it can also save you a lot of time for the future. You won’t need to continually remove hair, which can often result in skin irritation.
We remove the hair by using a laser. The laser is directed to the area in question, using photothermolysis to set the laser at the right wavelength. This destroys the follicle without causing damage to the surrounding skin. The light energy that is emitted from the laser is then transformed into thermal energy inside the follicle. The Melanin inside the follicle absorbs the laser heat, which then destroys it from the inside out, effectively removing the hair at the source. After this process is complete, we then apply a cooling solution to help
the skin recover.
The hair growth cycle has three growth stages. There is the Anagen, which is otherwise known as the active growth phase, the Catagen, the regressive phase and the Telogen, the resting phase. Laser treatment can only disable hair growth during the Anagen phase. If you need help deciding when to come in for your treatment, then you should know that facial hair renews every four weeks and body hair is every six. If you want to get the top results
from your treatment, then you should come in at the corresponding times. For example, every four weeks for facial hair and every six for body hair.
You will find that our laser equipment and our Krysta Line Laser Clinic specialists are fully equipped to handle all skin colours, including dark skin types
- You can benefit from laser hair treatment if:
- You are a male or female who has dark facial hair
- You are prone to ingrown hair
- You find traditional hair remov al methods difficult
- You want smooth soft skin
In fact, the only reason why you might not benefit is if your skin is darker than your hair. For example, if you have white, grey or blonde hair, you might not benefit from treatment. If you have any medical history that may interfere with treatment, this will be discussed during your initial consultation.
There are three steps in our Krysta Line Laser Clinic treatment program. Before you attend your initial session, you should make sure that you shave any hairs that you may have. The shorter the hair, the better, and the more effective the treatment will be. We will then mark out the area where you would like the treatment, before applying the laser. Please do remember that our laser does have a built-in cooling gel to ensure minimum discomfort, and
we will also provide you with some cooling gel and sun protection after your treatment is
There is no such thing as permanent hair removal; however we can significantly reduce the amount of hair growth as well as making the hair much thinner. In other words, we can permanently reduce hair growth, giving you softer skin for longer.
We have a cooling device which is attached to the laser itself, so you won’t feel any heat. The cooling gel is applied before treatment is started, so you’ll feel calm and relaxed during the process. You should expect some slight discomfort; however this is in no way intolerable.
We do like to advise our clients to grow short yet visible hair when they come in for the initial consultation. This is only so we can suggest the best course of treatment. After your initial consultation, you won’t need to grow out your hair between treatments. You can shave or trim as many times as you want, as this will not affect the outcome of the results.
You can use the following methods to remove your hair:

You should avoid the following methods:
The patch test is a very simple process which involves testing a small section of the skin that you would like treated. This test gives us the optimum temperature for your skin and hair type and it also tells us whether or not your skin is going to be extra sensitive to the treatment. If you have darker skin, then you’ll need to wait 1-2 weeks before you come back for your first session. Treatment on your face takes as little as 30 minutes, arms can take around 15 whereas full leg treatments can take up to an hour depending on how much is
After the treatment, you may experience some swelling or lumps, otherwise known as perfollicular oedema. This is only temporary. You may also experience redness, otherwise known as erythema, which is also temporary. Some less common side effects include blistering, however all of these side effects should settle down in 48 hours. If you would like to reduce redness or swelling, it is recommended that you use ice-packs and Aloe Vera gel. You should also take note that there is also a slight risk of hypo- pigmentation, which is lightening and darkening of the skin. This is rare, and it can be stopped by using SPF skin care treatments after the laser sessions.
After the treatment, you will find that the hair in the treated areas is significantly reduced. Laser treatment will also make the hair much finer, so it is much less visible to the human eye. This will reduce the need for shaving, waxing and other hair removal methods. Although laser treatment doesn’t permanently remove hair, you will find that it still delivers outstanding results.
The amount of treatments you have will largely depend on your medical background and hormonal changes. The amount of treatments you have will also depend on your personal preference. If you are happy after six treatments, then this is all you will require. Other people desire better results, and therefore more treatments are required. You will also find that women are more likely to grow new hair on the face as time goes on. This is why the
legs, bikini areas and underarms are 95% successful because women tend to lose hair in these areas as they get older.
During the first six treatments, we recommend that you come in to our Krysta Line Laser Clinic every six weeks for body areas and every four weeks for facial areas. You may require further treatment; however this can vary from client to client.
