During HIFU therapy, ultrasound beams are directed toward the tissue. The temperature within the tissue then raises by 20° and this destroys the tissue. It also destroys the disease via coagulation necrosis. Higher temperatures are usually avoided in order to prevent boiling for the liquids inside the tissue. Each sonic beam then treats a defined portion of the body or the tissue, although cold spots are often impediments to finely controlled treatment options. This entire process is carried out by moving the applicator on a robotic arm in order to deliver multiple shots. This allows precise ablation of the diseased tissue, as well as destroying the tissue invasively. Anesthesia is not required, although it is recommended, and this treatment can also be combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
What Does Ultrasound Cavitation Treatment Do?
Ultrasonic Cavitation is a surgical technique which utilises an ultrasound Cavitation machine. This machine emits ultrasonic waves which are then used to breakdown fat cells, while ensuring that other tissues remain intact. It targets fat cells by using a narrow frequency. Once the fatty cells have been dislodged, they are absorbed into the blood and excreted. Cavitation is 100% outpatient, with no complications. There is no recovery time either, so you can resume your day to day life in no time at all. Treatment starts by targeting the body with circular movements over the treatment site. Weekly treatments are highly recommended in order to achieve the best possible results. Treatment for each area can vary from 20 to 30 minutes, however this depending on the size and thickness of the tissue. Treatment areas are: arms, thighs, abdomen, love handles, back.
How Does It Work?
The great thing about Cavitation is that it is a natural phenomenon. The field creates bubbles in the solution, which grow in size. The energy then turns to heat, and pressure is released. The membranes of the fatty cells don’t have the capacity to withstand this pressure, so they break down and go into the blood stream. Another great thing about Cavitation treatment is that you don’t need any pre-treatments. The applicator moves over the selected area and is finalized with a circumference measurement. The treatment itself can take anywhere from 20-30 minutes, and it is recommended that you have between 6 and 9 sessions at one week intervals. You may need further treatment in order to achieve the result you want, however this is all dependant on your personal preference.
The treatment itself does not require any anesthesia. In fact, many clients consider the treatment to be completely painless and somewhat comfortable. You may however experience some slight discomfort due to the noise during the ultrasound, however this will not cause you any physical harm and it disappears as soon as the applicator is removed. You might also experience a warm sensation with mild redness, and you may feel thirsty and nauseas after the treatment. This is completely normal and you will feel much better within a few hours.
Even though this treatment is completely safe, it is not done on people who suffer from acute illnesses, or compromised liver functions. It is also not suitable for those who have a pacemaker, or for those who are pregnant. Most clients who attend treatment sessions experience a toning effect after one single session, with better results with every consequent visit. Your results will vary depending on your body area, age and metabolism and proper health and fitness routines will dramatically increase the results.
Better blood circulation
No surgery or recover time
Permanently remove fat cells
Strengthens connective tissue
How many treatments do I need?
The number of treatments you have will depend on your body area and your age. Your lifestyle will also have a large part to play in the treatment, so it is always recommended that you have a quality nutrition plan which has plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. You should also try and take vitamin supplements, with plenty of exercise. It is worth noting that this treatment is far more effective when combined with Radio Frequency.
